About Nandita Saikia

I’m interested in intellectual property and in human rights. That I know less than I’d like to about IP and that I can do less than I want to about the general absence of human rights doesn’t deter me from occasionally speaking of them in this blog. However, I’m very self-absorbed and spend such large amounts of time focussing on my virtually non-existent personal life that, for the most part, I don’t find it difficult to write about very little else. Obviously, this blog doesn’t contain any form of authoritative research, legal or otherwise, just a series of random diatribes. |

I can barely remember my first personal encounter with Nandita. The close friendship which has been forged between the two of us has been so gradual that I find it hard to pinpoint it to any particular beginning. To begin with my observations about her, she is a person who has rich experience with life, who has perfected the art of living well within her means and who is quite careful and smart with the persons she chooses to be friends with.
She is a quasi-feminist and somebody who has a deep understanding of the working of a human mind. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if I said that she is one of the most mature women I have met in my life, even though at times she can excuse herself from being logical, she is a person I admire. She has directly or indirectly taught me many a lesson of life and also one who indirectly inspires me to better my own standards of the English language. I would like to thank her for the great times and little pleasures that we have shared and would like her to know that I shall cherish them forever.
The name alone of this writers blog site makes it worthy of sharing.. A woman from India, her voice is a mix of personal reflection, introspection and academia. She is a pleasure to read.
your work has sent readers to mine….. and for this I thank you,
